Certainly there is no big secret that Pink Floyd is one of my favorite bands, if not the most favorable out of all? The band that originated from the long lineup of British bands that came out from the roots of blues, jazz and rhythm & blues has been among the most famous music maker and performers for many years. And that's a simple fact.

Likewise the fact is that more than three decades after it's launch their album „ The Dark Side of the Moon" continues to be one of the most famous albums of all time with the sales of more than 45 million copies. Moreover, it continues to sell 250,000 copies a year. This particular album was actually on Bilboard best 200 album list for a record of close to 800 weeks. According to the most recent report one in five British households, and one out of 20 Americans owns a copy of „ The Dark Side of the Moon". With the recent raising popularity and renascence of vinyl around the globe, this album issued as a vinyl was a 3rd selling album in 2015.

However this is merely a fragment of just what this album is famous and commercially successful. The bottom line is that "The Dark Side of the Moon" is just one of rock's highly sophisticated concept albums, and incredible self-reflection of a way of life, stress and anxiety, human separation and madness. To keep it short, it concerns wickedness of human life. And all this provided with great songs, lyrics and audio effects that offer to listeners distinct and profound musical experience. The music on this recording is unbelievable.

Sometimes it's weird and mysterious, in many moments it's totally ethereal, and in some others it's simply plain rock and roll. It's a timeless and it will definitely stay as such, for good to be appreciated by generations to follow. The atmosphere that the musical instruments produce feels like a dream, a surreal vibration of tones that attract the mind and transfix us out of our conscious world although leaving us dropped in a musical paradise. Most likely the real strength of the entire album is it's ambience, and the collection when you listen closely one truck after another, and all of the tracks are a work of arts upon it's own.

However, it's not only the harmonies of the instruments that makes this album such an improving listen, but the verses too. Every song feels like a check into the people mental processes. In a manner, album's lyrics are achieving us to search deeper within ourselves, our own psychology, our own lifestyle and just what and how we act, leading us to final thought how slim is the line between sanity and madness. As well as setting the emphasize the significance of the concept are the portions which does not feature a message or lyrics whatsoever, only simply the sound of a human voice...

In spite of the BBC and a few other British musical doubters, lengthy lived sales of this album show that not just Pink Floyd's fans positively love this album. And for Pink Floyd both as a music group and as professionals, this album was a turning point in their career, they arose from the post Syd Barrett period and psychedelic music as earlier experimenters with deep space ideas. "The Dark Side of the Moon' was an articulation of political, philosophical, humanitarian sympathy which was "desperate to get out," as Roger Waters explained. The album was recorded over the duration of almost 10 months, having actually been built and rehearsed throughout a number of live performances, along with various sound experiments, recording innovation during that time. Essential factor in making this masterpiece, was a band member synergy of the musical skills all four of them that functioned truly well, even though much credit goes to bassist Roger Waters, lyrics writer and primary "designer" of album concept. Exceptional effort and contribution to the technical element of "The Dark Side of the Moon" goes to then young studio engineer Alan Parsons, by means of many of the effects just like tape loops and then-revolutionary effects which operate all throughout the album's charismatic grooves. To contribute to albums, complete respect of excellence was the iconic prism sleeve (courtesy of Storm Thorgerson).

For that reason, this album transformed Pink Floyd from enthusiastic art-house hipsters to worldwide super stars, whilst affecting practically every rock band of the past forty years. Dark Side of the Moon gives one of the most seductive sounds in rock: a band absolutely at the top of its potentials. This album sits in a special place in rock history, connecting the ultimate times of the late 1960s psychedelic period with the new wave, electronic step that prevailed over the late 1970s. Everything said, „ The Dark Side of the Moon" is just one of the most convenient and significant rock albums of the 1970s. Or every other time, for that matter. „ Dark Side of the Moon" is a work of art. The musics shared by it appear to stream naturally and ordered, but still sophisticated and so remarkable that you'll enjoy it repeatedly, but never ever truthfully capture every last aspect in the work This great piece is flowing with outlines regarding living your everyday life. Peace, stress, time, fatality, money, dispute, charm, and craziness are state of minds embed this kind of beautiful songs by means of this remarkable work.

"There is no dark side of the moon really. As a matter of fact it's all dark."

R.I.P. Richard Wright (July 1943 - September 2008).
